CTET 2024 Applicability

    • Central Tibetan Schools
    • Schools under Union Territories (e.g., Delhi, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands).
  2. State and Local Schools:
    • Schools funded or managed by State Governments or local authorities may recognize CTET or conduct their own State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Some states accept CTET as an alternative to their TET.
  3. Private Schools:
    • Private schools not affiliated with CBSE may also choose to recognize CTET.
  4. CBSE-Affiliated Schools:
    • As per CBSE rules, teachers appointed in CBSE schools after March 6, 2012, must qualify for CTET or a State-conducted TET.

CTET 2024 Scorecard Validity

Candidates who pass the CTET exam will receive a lifetime-valid eligibility certificate.

  • Earlier Validity: Previously, the certificate was valid for seven years.
  • Revised Rule: CBSE updated its regulations, extending the validity to a lifetime.
  • Use of the Certificate: Qualified candidates can use this certificate to apply for teaching positions in eligible schools across India.

Note: The lifetime validity ensures candidates can apply for teaching jobs without needing to requalify for the CTET.
